Parenting During COVID

“They give us the safety requirements but not the support we need to parent safely during COVID. How can I work, parent, educate, and socialize a child?

Few among us are having an easy time during Coronavirus. It takes stamina and dedication to public health to continue social distancing and mask requirements. More than once I’ve wanted to throw my own mask to the wind and run to the playground with my child. It’s hard not being able to lean on friends and family for childcare. It’s stressful to socialize a toddler without being able to interact in a community. We want to swim in pools, run in parks, and most of all PLAY with other people. For now this is not an option and for however hard it feels I am reminding myself that it is a privilege, not a burden, to be able to isolate like this.
